See the footprint before you buy.
Enter your room and furniture dimensions, then move the piece. The plan uses the same scale for both. For a sofa and loveseat, enter each piece’s dimensions and choose the left or right wall for the sofa and the top or bottom wall for the loveseat. It does not measure your doors, other furniture, or the delivery route.
Top-down room plan
12 × 10 ftWall distances are empty-floor distances, not a guaranteed walking path. Measure doors, vents, cabinets, and other pieces separately. The shape is a planning diagram, not a photograph or a delivery approval.
Will the sofa fit your living room?
Start with the wall where the sofa will sit. A 10-foot wall is 120 inches wide: an 84-inch sofa leaves 36 inches in total, or 18 inches at each end when centered. That only checks the wall. Enter your room and the seller’s outside furniture dimensions above, then move the footprint to check the space beside and in front of it.
For a sectional, measure the entire assembled footprint, including the return or chaise. With a modular sofa, change the seat counts to compare configurations, then confirm the maker sells those pieces and connections. This plan does not check doors or turns: check the delivery route separately. For a worked example, see what size sofa fits a 10 × 12 room.
